This Valley is one of the most hard to reach and isolated places in the region of Friuli. Our trip started on mountain hut Egger Alm in Austrija. From there we drive with 4X4 vechile to the Italian border. From here we continue by foot almost to the spring of Rio Bianco. The first part is quite open with some nice short jumps and slides in green pools. Then follows a pleasant walk to the waterfall with a metal plate(sign Wedling Bad on plate). While walking we meet the remains of human work from the past. We jump into the pool with sign and continue with some jumps and downclimbs to the place where marked path CAI 504 cross the Rio Bianco. Here is the entry in the best part of the Canyon, which is characterized by old (ex) wooden suspension bridge. The Canyon is very narrow in some places and has beautiful waterfalls and with no exit to the finish of this part. We had to drill quite a lot. We found some beautiful descents and very remarkable geological curiosities. When we came out of the Canyon, the valley once again expanded and we continued with easier climbing and walking to the next narrow part, which is short deep and very impressive. After this final Strait is a good half an hour to the village Santa Caterina. We descended 950 meters and walked about 10 km of distance. Our trip was a great adventure and we found a nice Canyon, which is unfortunately very out of the way. I think that there will be no repetition of the canyon. Only for adventurers.
