Inserito il - 05 novembre 2014 : 16:43:13 On 1th of November, after descent through the canyon Rio Muhlbach we probably made the first repetition of Rio Bordaglia. We wanted to make the first descent but we unfortunately find already equipped canyon.Rio Bordaglia is a left tributary of the river Torrente Degano and is located in the Valley of Val Degano near Forni Avoltri in the region of Friuli. Forra del Torrente Bordaglia is a tourist attraction and from 2014 the path that runs along the gorge has been rebuilt. From wooden plates and balconys along the path you can enjoy the views into the Canyon. The canyon is very short , with some low rappels, appr. 15m deep and very narrow. The walls in the canyon are nice polish, the water is beautiful colors and quite cold. The canyon on spring and early summer is probably not transient, because due high water level. The canyon is equipped in eypedition style with some hard downclimbing( max 3m). The difficult of the canyon is V3 A3 II, but we were on 1th November in to the canyon and the we found very low water level. Probably on the summer or earlier the difficulty is much higher (V4 a4-A5 II). Thanks to our friend Georg, who after the descented Torrente Cunaz had so much energy that he checked the water level in rio Bordaglia and Rio Muhlbach.More info in description bellow.
